Tony Gill is the ADAM Project Leader at the Surrey Institute of Art & Design, and as such is responsible for managing the development of ADAM, the Art, Design, Architecture & Media Information Gateway. He was also responsible for the initial project management of the Visual Arts Data Service, part of the Arts & Humanities Data Service, and continues to provide technical consultancy to VADS. Both services have a mission to provide access to high-quality networked information in the visual arts.
He has degrees in Communication in Computing (Middlesex University) and Physics & Philosophy (King's College, London), and is currently a PhD research student at Kingston University's School of Information Systems. He is the author of a number publications on the applications of information technology in the arts & humanities, including 'The MDA Guide to Computers in Museums.'
